This booklet provides details about all of the artworks found throughout the Conrad Spa. I found a booklet on the art pieces in the relaxation room. The pieces do not only decorate the walls. The uniqueness has made it all the more alluring. To put it another way, the art made the spa unique. The various paintings and sculptures gave the Conrad Spa a personal brand. Somehow, the art gallery brought the spa full-circle. Instead, the beautiful art actually brought warmth and peace to the space. I also noticed other pieces by Warhol, Basquiat, Haring, Frankenthaler, Indiana and Lichtenstein.
With this in mind, the pieces are replaced with new ones regularly.ĭuring my afternoon of treatments, I spied the work of Picasso. Spas often represent relaxation, rejuvenation and new life. Artworks are on the first floor of the Conrad Hotel Indianapolis. The sculptures and art that hang on the walls are curated by the Long-Sharp Gallery. Once I enter the reception area, I am in awe of the works that decorate the space. The art collection is expansive, given that this is a spa. I have a feeling this is just what I need to prepare for my big weekend.įYI: if you are short on time, I highly recommend one of the express treatments the spa offers, which are available for massages, facials, and manicures and pedicures.īefore we get into my treatment experience, let’s revisit the Conrad Spa’s art gallery. I decided on a 60-minute signature pedicure and a 30-minute express massage. Perhaps the spa resort atmosphere is rubbing off on me. In spite of my indecisive quality, I make a quick decision. Even if it is a decision that is as simple as picking a peanut butter brand. Normally I take my time making a decision. The variety of choices have me feeling a little underwhelmed. The amenities include a sauna, steam rooms, an infinity pool, a jacuzzi and a fitness center.

As I lift the cup to my lips, I already know this is going to be the best cup of tea I have ever had. Using one hand to push down on the spigot, I watch the tea pour into the paper Dixie cup. I walk over to a table to pour myself a cup of pre-treatment tea. The air smells of cucumber water and lavender. When I first walked in, I was immediately greeted with a warm hello, I was immediately told to pick my color and have a seat in a massage chair - best massage chair ever!! This salon is very.I snuggle into my spa robe. While waiting for my appointment, 3 girls walked in for a nail fix and that should have been. Surprised! granted they are not always bustling with business but they have been around for a while. I was greeted when I entered and the lady who did my mani and pedi did a great job but it just took forever. Stopped at n because I totally forgot my normal place is closed on Mondays. I need a full set of acrylics & didn't feel like driving all the way to my regular salon so I thought I'd. My daughter & I went her a few years ago can't remember it being good or bad. It wasn't busy when we walked in around 4 pm, but it did get busier. This spa is very nice, clean and has a calm atmosphere. My daughter and I were in town visiting family and we wanted a pedicure.
